| Remarks: |
This chamber music course is a participant-initiated course. It is aimed at advanced amateurs, professional musicians, and students who desire focused music-making in a friendly atmosphere. Registration as an ensemble is encouraged. There is space for a maximum of five ensembles, three of which must include piano. The course takes place at the beautiful Château Promenois. The château is family-owned and is open during the summer for courses in music and art. The château offers full board with excellent cuisine and very comfortable rooms. Schedule: Participants play in an ensemble and work on a complete piece of their own choosing during the week. Each ensemble receives two lessons per day. Evenings are free for improvisation in spontaneous formations. From 5:00 to 6:00 pm daily, the ensembles have the opportunity to perform for each other to practice their performance skills. On Saturday evening, a final concert will be held where the ensembles will present excerpts from the pieces they have worked on. |
